It says for steering wheel control. s2k doesnt have a steering wheel controls. so im wondering would this work? I have a sony dsx-310 headunit.

The Axxess ASWC will work with the s2000. I installed it with a sony dsx-s300btx and the only issue was the mute button doesn't work. If the mute button is important to you then you'll have to go with a modifry DCI.

 

SWI = DCI. The interface can't tell whether the buttons are mounted in the steering wheel or in the dash. It will work but there are good reasons why Modifry's is always highly recommended.

wait, I have a modifry I used for a pioneer headunit, and am about to buy an alpine. Will the old DCI work or will I need a new one?

Not sure about Axxess, but I have first hand experience with both PAC and Modifry; the Modifry DCI responds instantly while with the PAC unit you have to hold each button press for about 1 second longer before it registers. This alone frustrates the hell out of me, not to mention the PAC unit has to be programmed and the Modifry doesn't...
