Wiring/Electric Gurus, Fuse help please!
Hey guys, i've got a really annoying issue with my fuses and I could really use some help. Basically, the fuse that controls the interior lights (dash dimming for headlights ON + all the lighting behind the buttons + the tail lights) just suddenly started burning. As soon as I put the new fuse in and turn my headlights on it blows, every time. Now, I had this issue maybe 2 months ago, but I tried 3 fuses and it worked, and now all of a sudden it came out of nowhere.
Any ideas on the cause? Starting to panick because wiring is my nightmare.
Additional info, after letting my car sit for a few hours, I went to turn it on and my battery was dead. I just bought it ~3 weeks ago...
Thanks for any help in advance!

Im no gurus but im an electrician. I see that kind of problems with neons ballast. Sometimes when they get old they short to the ground. It coukd possibly be the same with our ballast. Maybe you could try to unplug them an do another test.
Good luck

Well, if it wasnt doing this before you spliced some wires and "fixed" the ballasts there is probably a problem with your wiring. Thats why the first question i always ask is were there any recent repairs. I would unwrap all the wires and check over everything.
^^^ like he said.
Plus , what i was talking about is the ballast itself. The casing touching the body makes a short. But like I said I see that in neon light fixture ballast. Not sure it could happen with our ballast but i don't see why not.
I would double check your connection and after that I would try with the ballast isolated from the body

And the reason I messed with them is because I was having issues with one, but figured out it was a fuse after splicing a wire
*EDIT* My remote trigger fuse is also burning out as soon as I use my remote.. Ill look over my headlights tonight see if anything is amiss
Do you have an aftermarket alarm ??
I had my share of issues with those. All "installed by professional"
Ended up checking every connection they made/screwed onder the dash. Welded all those bastards and guess what .. All problem solved.
Anything was done to the car lately ??
