Wiring in OEM AP2 tweeters in AP1 car (with AP2 doors)
So I upgraded to some 2006 door cards, mainly for the "storage" but also for the tweeters. As when driving roof down, you can't hear a lot.
The door speakers were upgraded by the PO - which for now will stay put.
I need to know how to wire in the OEM tweeter from a 2006 S, into a 2001 S.
I was thinking could just wire it direct to the door speaker, but have read on a few forum posts that I should be using a filter capacitor to get rid of the low frequencies, or a crossover box.
Trouble is, I have no idea what I am looking for!
Can anyone help?

Wondering if something like this would be ideal:

Failing that, an aftermarket set of components will do the job nicely.
Do you still have the OEM stereo installed?

The cheapest option would be to buy someone's old MY04+ speakers - lots of people have these lying around and you can probably get them for pennies/a few pounds.

The car did have a sub and amp when I got it, but have since removed that, leaving me with just the aftermarket door speakers.
Do the MY04+ speakers have a filter for the tweeters built in? rather than a crossover box?
Was hoping to stick with these aftermarket speakers but use the OEM tweeters?

If you want really good sound, keep the amp at least, and stick a decent set of aftermarket components in the doors along with some sound deadening.
