With the great weather yesterday I started working on installing the pieces of the system I have so far. First step was to start running the amp power wire. I mounted the fuse on the narrow aluminum pipe that runs parellel to the battery. (The one with the blue cap/screw in the above photo) Not sure what this tube is for, but anything I need to worry about? Seemed like a good spot since it allowed easy access to grommet leading to the wiper compartment I planned on using to run the cable across the engine bay.

Umm.. that tube is your AC line... just don't screw into it, and you should be fine... I would move it myself but its your car and install. There are plenty of spots to place it. Do you have a stock battary?

Yeah I still have the stock battery. And I'm certainly not married to that location. It just seemed like a clean place to mount it. The fuse holder is rather chunky and by keeping it in that space I don't need to bend the wire so much.

Was it easy to find a hole in the firewall to run the power cable?
