http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.p...ht=polk+install

here's the install.

my take: fronts are critical. rears are a pleasant fill if you have both the money and space. generally though, they should hardly be discernable for best results.

and just as an aside:
and anyone else get reminded of oneaudiopro by Toxis?

I'm not going to argue this point with you. I have an S2000 and believe me you notice a difference with the rears installed. So maybe you should try it first

no, only about 10 systems or so. Only 2 had rears and they didn't help anything except volume. I'm not here to be a dick but I've been doing this for many years now and have helped build over 20 SQ cars before, all of which have at least qualified for USACi finals. Granted this was 2-5 years ago (got out of the industry for a while, but had to get back into it) and haven't had the chance to build any other competitor cars since. I understand it's hard to get GOOD sound quality out of a convertable but it can be done.

Imaging, shmimaging, if you can't hear your music with the top down anywhere at any speed, then get rear speakers. Only problem I have with S-Pods is they won't fit larger speakers, and I don't like the way they look. I'm relatively short (5' 6"), so I never have issues with the seat being too far back, which is why I'm going with rear speakers. I'll also eventually get an amp and 'woofer.

ummm.... I'm not going to argue to point with you guys. Do whatever you want its not my car...
Rears running on the HU are a waste, however rears running off a good amp make a world of difference.

So '2002S2000' do you know what your talking about... I don't know do you? Until you hear an S with a nice setup you may not like the rears. Ask around the NE forum and see what the guys in my local club say about my set up...
