wth is wrong with my speakers?!

wth is wrong with my speakers?!
ok so lately my right speakers (6.5 and tweeter) have been cutting in and out. back when it first started it was just when i would hit a bump in the road, and then it would come back a few minutes later or when i turn the car on the next time. now, lately it just happens whenever it feels like it and then it comes back in and back out and back in and back out. i was driving on a smooth highway yesterday evening and within a 5 mile stretch it must have gone in and out 4 times 
heres what i have:
-alpine cda-9883 (bought new)
-polk db6501 (bought new)
-audiobahn amp (cant remember model# and it was used when i bought it)
-modifry alpine --> stock radio harness (bought new)
-modifry dci unit thingy (bought new)
-rockford fosgate wires for everything except the remote wire.
ive taken the door panel off and checked for loose wires and there are none there or on the amp so im confused on how to diagnose this. im not an electrical person so this stuff is beyond me

You can try a few things quickly. Swap the right and left side and see if the problem move from the right side to the left. You can do this right on the amp, just swap the pairs.
Try that first.

I had a similar problem, my mids were cutting in and out. Mine turned out to be my crossovers, it seems I was running to much power through them.

Could be a bad RCA cable end or something of that sort.

ok i swapped the wires and as soon as i turn it on i hear the left side stop working lol. and then the entire ride home yesterday and back to work today it was going in and out.

ok... so its not the cheap answer... to bad 
Next you want to swap the RCA's. Just just move the red lead to the white and the white to the red. Could just be bad RCA's.
We have to test to see if its the RCA cable's, the amp or the HU.
Try that and report back

Funny- I have the db 6500's and had the same issue- I would hit the door panel to get it working again, but finally it went completely out on one side- I thought it was wiring and spent lots of time swaping things around. Turned out it was a bad crossover. I contacted Polk and they shipped me a new one. No problems since then. I bet you have the same problem. I would try a new right side crossover. I bought my speakers off EBay and just told Polk they were a gift. They did not give me any trouble. I think Polk is a stand up company.
