Default Xmas gift was a Sub... is it broken?

So, I got a 8" ID sub from the wife for christmas. I opene dup only to see that during shipping to Canada the rubber surroundings had been pushed on by the plastic stand up pegs (typically used to protect the sub). So the rubber is slightly pushed in. I have used subs with holes in the rubber surrounding before... so I am sure this will be fine... But, i figured I would see what you guys think. The rubber is now slowly going back to its orignal state since I have removed it from the cardboard box.

here are the pics...

Am I being anal?

Given that the surround is butyl rubber, I would say that the sub is ok and will work out the indentions.

Run it. The heat and vibrations will smooth it out.

GREAT SUB!.. I have IDMAX 12v2. and it's one of the best SQ subs i've ever heard.

I also use to have a IDQ15v2 and that was better than the IDMAX but not as loud.

my IDMAX had the same rubber distortion. nothing to worry about, it'll come out once you've run some hours.

I wish i could have gotten an 8" idq but they are no longer carrying that size... I am not a fan of buying used on ebay.
