AEM EMS series 2
I have a boosted 05 running the AEM EMS series 2 and while driving and also just revving it will rev hang between 3.5k and 4.5k rpm range. AFR remains normal. it does it mostly when car is under a partial load. like 5psi of vacuum. the car is tuned and that helped it but it still hangs for appox. 1 to 1.5sec. Any ideas/help is appreciated. it bothers the hell outta me.
I have the same rev hang issue which happens at 2.5k or 3k during decel - no load. It's not consistent.
A few other issues I haven't resolved:
1. Data logs show a fuel trim based on AIT that doesn't correspond to my Air Temp Fuel Trim table - When I zero out the table, the AEMTuner shows no real time trims but the datalogs show random Fuel Trims (AIT) in the 4-6% range.
2. The immobilizer key light on the dash glows brighter with RPM or maybe load - I haven't really diagnosed it but do notice it surging brighter when doing pulls. Is this a "feature" or a screwed up output?
BTW: Application is 2002 AP1 with 2.2 shortblock.

^ Thanks for the reply.
Regarding the rev hang. Assuming tps is calibrated properly, do you have a suggestion for tps vs idle mapping? Which table are you referring to? Idle% vs Target? Doesn't this only apply when Idle FB is active? If Idle FB is active below 1900 rpm, for example, can it still cause a rev hang near 3000 rpm?
Thanks again - we appreciate your advice.

The "rev hang" issue the original poster is talking about is most likely caused from the tps not be calibrated properly and/or the tps vs idle mapping too aggressive. The IACV is able to bypass more air when lifting the throttle with either/both situation and the "rev hang" type issue will occur.
as he said, go to the coil/injector template.
If you cant find sonething, click and look through all the tabs. If that doesnt work, then look in the help documentation.
#2 is caused from all the injectors selected in the coil/injector template. Only select Inj #1-4 and the issue will stop. Injector #9 output corresponds to the immobilizer light. You are actually watching the "pulsing" that the injectors are operating at (millisecond pulsing). Its an issue with the basemap that AEM has for the 6052 boxes in the v17 software.

Any more info on the rev hanging issues? I'm having the same problem but when Im cruising at any speed, if I let off the gas to engine brake, te car continues on as if the cruise control was on. Then it starts to go between engine braking and rev hanging and causes the car to shake back and forth until I push in the clutch. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
