AEM EMS v2 30-6052 Not connecting to AEMTuner
Purchased a used 30-6052 AEM EMS V2 for my 05 AP2 S2000. The guy plugged it in to his car and it started. I connect everything correctly + AEM x-series wideband. I go to connect to my laptop via USB and I get an error "Port not found". I sent the EMS to FF-Chips in California to get it checked. He said everything was 100% even communicated through USB just fine. I get it back and still no connection. I tried everything in the past forums: Tried windows 10 instead of 11, USB drivers up-to-date. Tried Serial to USB cable but on the software nothing came up for the "COMM port" drop-down so I couldn't try that option. Tried different USB cable, tried the plugging and unplugging fast. Made sure my grounds and wiring are good. Car fires right up and drives perfect with the Stock ECU. I called AEM and they were extremely unhelpful just kept telling me its your computer or try a different USB cable and I can't send it to them because the model is discontinued. Another strange thing when the AEM EMS is connected to the car and Ignition is on: The CEL completely disappears from the dash like the light isn't even there. Also my fuel pump does not prime so the car only cranks. I was thinking it had to do with the previous owner of the EMS's tune since it used to be turbod but I'm not sure since I can't even open the calibration. I was also thinking that the AEM EMS was maybe not getting enough power but when I connect the Stock ECU everything works just fine. I am extremely tired and frustrated from this issue. Any help would be much appreciated thanks.
