Default AEM EMS Series 2 *INSTALLED*

Hey guys Just wanted to let everyone know i just perchased the new AEM EMS series 2 this monday and will be installed next week. Ill try n write up a review and install picture if i remember and such.

from what ive heard its much better then the older 1052 ems and has some of the bugs fixed like the temp fix.. plus i got a killer deal on one so i couldnt say no. ( damn you Slowmotion!!!)

link to those that dont know.

my setup is a AEM EMS V2
AEM wideband

**UPDATE**

Ok so last week i finally get the new AEM ems installed and had my local tuner tune it for me. i picked up 13whp up top and a bit more in the middle.

Startup: for me so far its does take a few extra cranks to start up. I think this was also an issue with the older model? Once it starts up it idles like a champ

Accel: i dont know its its the tune/something wrong with my car/ or just what you get with a aem ems, but if say im crusing at 4k rpm and i decide to floor it it feels like there is a 1/2 sec lag before the car will start going like it doesnt register the throttle. its like there is a lag time before the ems knows what your doing. is this common with the aem ems? becuse if it is i might just have to swap it fot a kpro or something cuz its kinda annoying

temp guage works great just like stock with 3 bars when fully warmed up.
havent done any data loggin yet but should be pretty much the same thing.
fit in stock ecu location.

my tuner has tons of exp with the older aem ems and this was his first tune session on the new v2 with the new aem tuner. altho he did take the aem tuning class aem had for the new v2.

According to the comparison chart, you're really not getting much:
http://aempower.com/files/EMS_vs_Series2.htm

You might get a better Graphic Interface and "User adjustable knock sensor center frequency", but I stuck with the version 1 as opposed to selling it for the V2 simply because it's what tuners know.

if you already have the older one yeah its not that much different but if you dont already have one its worth the few extra bucks for it.

hopefuly will have this all tuned and ready next week. then it ime to save for a turbo.

FWIW, here is a dyno of my car tuned with the 6052 (AEM EMS v2). Bone stock motor, CTSC (@ 8.8psi max), AC, ID 1000cc's:

I'd be all over the series1 but my biggest gripe is that the factory temp gauge doesn't work. I feel like that is such a minor detail but it would definitely annoy the crap out of me.

What he said, works like stock though you have the ability to adjust the bars if you want.
