Default Aem ems v2 ..emissions :-(

So I live in MA and I am trying to pick up a 02 s2k boosted running aem ems v2. Now the one thing holding me back on buying it is not being able to get a emissions sticker with the aem.

My question is for people who live in states that do emission tests and are running aem- are there any ways around aem to get a sticker with it. Other than lets say hookin up another vehicle and using that .

Thank you

Some switch out the injectors and just hook up the stock ecu temporarily. But also depending on were you take the car, some stations possibly wont mind. I live in pa and finding a place was hard for me. Im sure if you have any tuner shops near by that do emission tests they will just pass it.

Wouldn't you still run into cel lights with the stock Ecu? Because of let's say having a full 3in exhaust

What friends and myself have done before is just that. The exhaust has never been a issue. Just take out your injectors and put stockers back in, stock ECU, and just to play it safe a stock cat or exhaust but that's not necessary. Just baby the hell out of the car so you don't throw a CEL and you'll pass with flying colors. Atleast that's what I do in Connecticut

only cel you might run into is the one for a bad cat if your not running one and dont have a spacer on the second o2 sensor.

What id be more concerned about is readiness codes. You would probably have to go out and put 50 miles or so on your car with the stock ecu before they are ready. Depends on where you live too.
