Default AEM Fuel/Ignition Controller with Stroker Motor?

I have a 2002 AP1 s2k, I recently added the Brian Crower Stroker Kit I have heard that you are required to have some sort of a fuel management system to assure the engine gets enough fuel. I can not afford a stand-alone system and have been looking into the AEM Fuel/Ignition Controller for s2000's. I have an 89mm bore and I need to know if this will do the trick? Also does anyone know if I have going to have to decrease my redline due to the oversized pistons? Any imput is appreciated. Thanks!

No on the aem fic. They are junk!!! You might be able to swing by with a greddy emanate ultamite. It all depends on your build, a good tuner show know what your rev limit should be according to your build.

Be sure about what you speak of.

The stock computer will run it fine if you take it easy (great for break-in) The FIC does work, you just gotta know how to work it. The Emanage ultimate also works great. If you plan to go further with power though, nothing beats an EMS.

whats your current displacement and compression ratio?

according to an AEM tech, the stock ecu will be able to control the engine without throwing a code until a certain point of enrichment.

people run 2.2L on ap1 ecu's, but it sounds like you are past 2.2L.

If you are spending money on a stroker kit, spend the extra money to do it right with a legitimate ECM

How can you possibly afford a stroker kit but not a proper engine management system?

I have heard nothing but horrible things about the AEM FIC. I would definitely not use it no matter what.

oddly enough, ive been using it a lot more on newer cars, ive got several cars running pretty damn good with the FIC.

but still its no standalone by any means.

^Not on AP1's though right? From what I have read seems AP1's fair much worse with it for some reason than AP2's do.

IF you want to ONLY retard timing and adjust fueling go with the FIC.

TBH, with my greddy and SC setup 95% of the tune was retarding timing apart from one bit where it needed advanced slightly.
