Default AEM Series 2 password lock?!

Hi Guys,

I got my S2K Turbo recently but the AEM Series 2 is password locked?!
How can I reset this to get car tuned?

Thanks in advance!

Just download the software and follow the directions. But you may not be able to drive it with the base map in there if you do. Your new tuner can wipe it clean and start from scratch as well, and hopefully he won't lock it.

Any tuner who locks his tune is a LOSER seriously. There are no secrets to tune a engine, no magic, no secrets. It's like keeping simple math a secret, only a ignorant person would do it who probably doesn't understand how to do it in the first place.

Side note, breaking the password isn't too hard.

ahh....but do tell, (or PM me please). How do you break the password without losing the tune and resetting?

I only have a V1 1052 which when i have my car up i will look and break the password. It's all about who you know, and being in the IT field you don't have to look far. Once ive done mine I'll consider getting a V2 to do the same.

The lock was intended for having customers who like to tinker without knowledge from destroying their engines, but given the right signatures releasing a tuners liability they should always give up password.

Did you ever unlock the aem successfully using a method without knowing the password?
