aem v2 vs aem infinity

Default aem v2 vs aem infinity

im about to tune my car but im not sure if i should buy aem v2 or inifinity ? is the infinity worth the extra money or is it a waste ?

list of mods

takeda intake
ballade sports big bore throttle body
ported intake manifold
okada coil packs
j's wrapped header
j's ti RR 70mm

ask your tuner. Generally speaking, the infinity is WAY better than the v2, but if your tuner is unfamiliar with it then it doesn't do you much good

I'd rather spend the extra money on an infinity vs buying those expensive coil packs!

The brand of ECM has nothing to do with the amount of power in the ignition system....its also been proven that "upgraded" coil packs offer no benefit.

Ive had AEM v1 v2 and infinity. Dont ask the tuner, if he cant tune the inifity or 'prefers' aem v2 find another tuner. Infinty is VE based that alone is worth the extra price. Also infinity will continue to recive updates and support while v2 will continue to become extinct

I just upgraded from an AEM series 2 to the Infinity. There are alot more options that you can take advantage of. The system is much faster as well. I purchased my infinity and harness from moddiction. the service was top notch and the price was great, Shipping was decent as well.

I have a v2 and after tuning several different type of cars dealing with the shit software and then learning about why the Infinity is not getting updates (as well as other issues being seen in the tuner circle)... I'd upgrade with a different brand all together if I had the desire. The Infinity is extremely buggy with unfinished software. For the money, between the 2... v2.

Specifics about what you've heard would really go a long way to substantiate your opinion. E.g. _why_ is AEM Infinity not getting updates?
