Default aem version 1 and altitude change on fi

so the tuner told me not t go to the mountains as it has no way to compensate for altitude changes. does anyone know of anyway to over come this any tuning strategy to compensate for the thinner air someone said a mass airflow sensor mounted in the intake could be used. anyone have ideas throw em out there please and does the series 2 have this?

is your car turbo or NA?

If its NA there isnt really much to do, the map sensor will take care of it.

If its turbo there is a baro correction table, i think its range is from 40kpa to 120kpa, set it at a straight line from -60% up to +20%

Unless your tuner setup your tune for TPS only, then it should compensate for altitude fine using the MAP.

sorry for no response the car has af22 redline 8500 rpm comptech supercharger 8-9 psi id 1000 injectors aem ems v1 ugeo wide band comptech header t1r twin sparrow exhaust aem boost gauge I talked to the tuner again and he said above 5k feet it would lean out and not recognize boost I guess the way the math of the map sensor table is configured? he said I could turn on o2 feedback to help but even then there would be a point were the tune would get skewed and run erratically he seems to know his stuff but I figure it cant hurt to ask and as far as I know the map is map sensor and load based

ok so been reading what I can find on the aem forums there are lots of debate on the baro correction table . have you used this setting I ask so when I car this guy again and mention it I want to make sure im not going to insult him. is this just a correction factor that can be enabled or do I need to add a sensor the air pump is deleted on the car so I don't have the sensor that mounts to the air box not sure if that was a baro sensor thanks for the info sorry if I don't make sense still learning this stuff

The barometric pressure sensor is built into the ecu.

The boost will be lower at high altitudes with a blower.. You really shouldn't have to do much. I'd take it up to high altitude and keep an eye on the afr. Then make changes if needed.
