Yes its a very well known problem in the S2000 specific FIC that AEM knows about, its just not worth it to them to correct the issue, IE they know and dont give a shit about it.

Stay away from that piece of garbage.

^^ so it is the engine management. We always thought that the hick up (around 7k RPM) is due to the cylinder head porting/ polishing. This thread solved alot!

It can't be worse than the emanage ultimate I used last week. That was a janky piece of tuning software if I'd ever seen one

Yeah I'm definitely not going to use the FIC. Seems like the hiccup is a real pain in the ass!

I have an F/IC and I'm totally happy with it, I don't have any issues of it doing of what you're talking about.

I don't have any studdering issue, well at 2500 I do, but that's a tune issue not a F/IC issue.

Kenny @ Jotech tuned mine, 8 psi, I made 325 whp with head gasket, and head studs.

So yeah I'm totally happy with mine, however, I will say if I had the option, I would've went flashpro (bought the F/IC before FlashPro was introduced), just because of cost of the F/IC + boomslang harness is almost the same amount as FlashPro.

You have an AP2. They seem to work a little better for AP2's for some reason. AP1's have the horrible stuttering issue.

I have been running a F/IC for 2 years on my Comptech SC at 8 psi. I wouldn't say it is a perfect solution, but it has worked for me. I don't have any noticable hesitation, VTEC engagement point has not been messed with though. According to Chris at SOS, there is no ground trigger to the pressure switch to fool the ECU but it can be wired.

Later model AP2s seem to have much more success.
