Wanted to share what layouts and screens I have found to be most useful. These are the ones I most use and review with datalog. Any more ideas or contributions are welcome!
1. RPM-Rev my AP2 to 9K RPM, OEM dash only reads to about 8K, so nice to have
2. Boost-Shows exactly what map sensor is reading
3. AFR-To make sure AFR is where its supposed to(if it's not good indication there is a fuel issue)
4. Intake-Nice to see how heatsoak sets in and goes away as car moves
5. Coolant-oem dash gauge is worthless-this lets me know exactly what temp engine is
6. Throttle-nice to see
7. Target boost-friendly reminder of boost coming up as i run boost by gear
8. Injector duty %-nice to know as i am running my injectors to the limit with E85
9. Spark timing-Good to see exactly what timing ecu is sending out
Some others
1. VTEC-Shows when VTEC is engaged or disengaged(will turn gold when active)
2. Speed-this is GPS speed so its more accurate
3. Altitude-this is actually nice because it helps identify an actually flat road
What i would like to show on other screens but have not figured out:
1. If idle control is on/off
2. If decel is active/not
3. If fan1 or 2 are on/off
And finally would like to have running graphs showing knock, AFR, or MAP sensor readings over time the way they display on AEM DATA or Infinity but that i have not figured out.
And here is a screenshot of what i tend to look at while im driving with my laptop out. That running log of knock noise over time gives alot of re-assurance the engine is happy.
