Code P0607
Hello everyone. Long time reader, first time poster.
Approximately two weeks ago I installed Fortune Auto 500 series coilovers on my 2004 ap2. 3 of the 4 were easy with no problem. However when it came to the drivers side front, I had an issue getting the old strut out. I finally got it by yanking on it while my wife pulled down on it.
The issue I'm having is with the ABS light on my dash. Today I went to Autozone and had them pull the codes from my ECU. The code that came back is:
"P0607 - ECM/PCM Internal Control Module Performance"
A few questions I have are:
From the searching I've done, this shows nothing to do with the ABS. So why is my ABS light showing for a potential ECU fault ?
If my actual sensor is no good, why isn't there a code being shown for the ABS ?
What options are there for fixing the P0607 code ? Do I need a different used OEM ECU?
Originally I was going to go to the dealer , but after being quoted $120/hr for labor/troubleshooting... I decided to ask here first.
If anyone has any insight, please post. Thanks in advance

The PCM error has nothing to do with the ABS error (I'm pretty sure the PCM doesn't communicate with the ABS in any way). The ABS error code can't be pulled through the normal OBD-II procedure; you need a dealership scan-tool for that. More likely than not, you damaged the sensor on that particular hub.
As for the PCM code, I don't think there's an easy fix other than getting a new/used PCM. You may want to clear the code first though, it's possible that it may not come back again.

The PCM controls the engine and it sits behind the panel around the hood release.
It's not difficult to replace but you need to have a dealer re-program your immobilizer and keys, search for ecu swap for more information.
