Default cranking issues w KPRO

so my car always has to crank for at least 5 seconds before it will start

if it doesn't start after the 5 seconds, then it will just keep cranking, and maybe eventually putter to life, then die

needless to say, this is pretty embarassing, do i just need to add fuel for cranking? on the "fuel trim" parameter, can i just insert a negative number? say, -2%? and if that fixes it, then it's all good?

this only happens on cold starts? try playing with the cranking base injector pulse. it's under the fuel trim under parameters. try increasing the value at -24 and -15.

there is no set amount. it all depends on the injectors and the fuel you are using.

in your case it seems like it wants more fuel. so i would increase the first two values by 5ms and see what happens.

this is all trial and error. keep playing with it till it gets better.

If you have ID 1000's I have some parameters that will make the car start every time, but I still need to tweak the warm start settings to get it to start up like factory. Cold start starts faster than factory.
