Default ECU Options for MY05

So I am trying to look into my options for being able to tune an AP2 that is not DBW since I have MY05. I know there is the AEM but I'm interested to know if anyone has any experience with Haltech. I can't find anything in searches with anyone running a Haltech in a MY04 or MY05.

The endgame is to get more power in the mid range for autox and light track days while running all motor.

You will probably have more luck posting in the engine management thread.

Thanks! I think I am going with Haltech since Titan Motorsports here in Orlando deals with them and can get it

I've got a Haltech being installed as we speak as part of my track build, pick it up next week. It's plug and play, with an Ap1 map. Its got a header-back 3" exhaust going in as well, and once I drop a K&N intake in I'll get it dyno tuned over the winter. I'm crossing my fingers for 230 whp.

keep me updated on it... i've got a hks hi power dual exhaust with test pipe. K&N drop in filter and tein springs as far as performance to the car besides tires.. I am starting to autox the car and will eventually do track days.. i need more mid range power for autox since i can't always be in so high in the power band within vtec so i'm missing out on the cars ability. With a stand alone i can tune to bring down vtec to 4 or 5k and get that power sooner and smoother.

i have ran them successfully on 04-05 ap2's. there's a lot of mid range power to be picked up with a test pipe and a single exit exhaust. i showed the difference in mid range going from the stock exhaust to a single exit 3 inch exhaust in this thread.

some modifications on the intake side can help increase peak power. i showed what could be done when tuning intake length on this thread.

I got my Haltech tuned last month. With K&N intake and custom header-back 3" exhaust, I had gains of 18 lb-ft torque @6k rpm, almost 27 hp @6.3k rpm! Baseline was the off-the-shelf Haltech stock tune. I'll post dynos in a new thread.
