engine valve simple question HELP!!!
are the valves vented?
the crank turns 720 deg for every 360 on the cams. so when i put my engine back together i was actually 180 deg off from TDC on the cams. I tried turning it over. will my valves be bent??? or are they vented?? thanks a lot for any help

Honda says they are interference engines. But when the cam sensor is unplugged, engine will turn on. Found out the cam timing was off by 180 deg. I put the cams in with the marks pointed at each other so only explanation is that I turned the crank to 360 not a full 720 deg when setting up cams for TDC. Compression seemed normal, wanted to know if my valves were toast. Took to a mechanic and he said they should be fine but are gonna check the head. Gonna cost me a pretty penny, so I wanted to ask the forum
Found a patent drawing for a vented engine valve. Little valve inside the big valve on the right. We don't have them, nor do I see how it would matter if the cams are not set right and the valves are set to strike the pistons.
