Feedback on evans etune?
Thank you for that detailed writeup gernby.
I am still thorn if I should venture deep into tuning and follow your guide and try to set it up all myself or just ask that decent tuner far away for a tunesession.
Today I did atleast activate the EBC and got the car to boost 8psi in first, 10 psi in second and 12psi for 3rd to 6th gear. Still around 11,5-11,7 afr during high load. Overall pretty rich running. Ignition is only somewhere between 15-17 degress.
Car is running strong tho, the Kpro is a powerful log device.

I would trust Jeff 110%. I guarantee that your car will run better with his etune than a homebrew tune.
First off, Jeff Evans has tuned dozens upon dozens of FI S2000s and hundreds of FI cars in general. Literally hundreds...
I don't think s2kswe's car falls under Jeff's criteria for an e-tune, but the only way to know for sure is to ask Jeff himself.
Evans has a FAQ on his site that answers common concerns:

Evans has a FAQ on his site that answers common concerns:
Question: How do I know that eTuning is right for me?
Answer: eTuning works very well for basic bolt-on performance modifications such as intake, header, exhaust, mild camshafts, larger injectors, supercharger and mild turbocharger boost levels (up to 10-12 psi range).
Question: Is Dyno Tuning still a better idea?
Answer: Dyno Tuning is a tool to extract the full power potential from your engine. While on the dyno we can see exactly how the engine responds to changes, and find the perfect operating range for fuel, ignition and cam angle mapping for full throttle driving. An eTune will get the engine within 90% of its power potential in most cases.
Question: Do I need to Dyno Tune after my eTuning is complete?
Answer: For a basic bolt-on combination or supercharger a dyno tune is often times not needed. Because we have developed so many calibrations in house for a huge range of bolt-on applications, you get those dyno proven calibrations to start from on your eTune. We often times know what works for the tune on your car without having the car on our dyno.

He will turn you down if he thinks its not reasonable. I explored an etune with him and was turned down.
Take care
