Default Flash AP1 ECU?

Is it possible to flash the AP1 ECU´s? If not, is it possible to chip tune it?

Most old cars/EMS´s got some sort of options for modifying the ECU.

Not possible or not done yet?

I got a stupid story here, you´ll understand my question.

A few years back people said it´s impossible to tune the stock Nissan S14 EMS, they didn´t have a good old chip like S13, nothing to solder out and replace.

Then one day Santa came to town and gave us a new product, a tiny PCB possible to solder and mount on top of the ECU PCB. This unit had chip socket and you could buy it in two models, one or two socket´s, the dual one had a built in switch and you could wire that to a button on the dash. Possible to have two different programs for different fuel types and stuff like that. Kinda cool, from impossible to possible over night.

Did it work? Hell yeah. Impossible to tune the stock EMS? Nope.

There is definitely a way to at least chip them or do something. Look at all the JDM companies you can buy ecu's for. They are most definitely flashed or chipped.

Yeah, the JDM companies can probably do it but wont let us know how.

Got a friend who´s tuning stock EMS´s all day long, just wish I could get my hands on the tools and he could do the tuning.

Short answer is no. Long answer is no one cares enough to go through the trouble of getting the AP1 ECU chipped/hacked because there are other proven options available.

I can´t find a good option for the AP1, I really need OBD to pass inspection every year.

*K-Pro sounds weird with RSX ECU, new sensors and a big MAYBE to work on Euro cars.
*I´ve read about E-Manage here and most people hate it.
*AEM is probably great but no OBD right?

Another option is http://www.civinco.com/index_eng.html They are willing to make a good "kinda piggyback" with Honda connectors and 100% plug and play if we gather enough people.
The problem here is that they might need a US car to make it work the other way around.

Please give me your thoughts.

why is KPRO weird?
a good tuner can utilize the e-manage with great results (Mase)
what about the Haltech?
