I have a bone stock AP2, it just has a K&N Drop in.

I registered and married the flashpro to my car. I followed the Youtube tutorial.

I clicked the calibration drop down for my car and i noticed 2 options. I chose the "TUNED" option and flashed the car with that option. Took her for a spin and I noticed quite a bit of improvement, she feels more peppy particuarly in the midrange.

My question is did i choose the wrong map? What is the "Stock Equivelant" map? Also, what exactly did the "TUNED" flash do? My VTEC engagement seems to be lower than before

Tuned is a better map of the OEM tune, whereas stock equivalent is basically OEM.

 

So its basically a fine tune of the oem map? Car feels awesome!

 

Supposedly you shouldn't lower vtec without a minimum of a HFC if not a test pipe

Keep playing around with the flashpro, you will find where exactly your vtec is set at, rev limiter and launch control as well. Simple things you can play with before getting an actual tune.

My car also felt great when I ran the tuned cakibration and once I got étuned it was night and day

It's Flashpro, not a standalone ECU. Unless you are data logging, there is no reason to keep it plugged in.

I wouldn't go any lower than ~5600 VTEC, which is where it is set with the tuned map, on a stock cat. Gernby did a lot of testing and you get a torque dip in the mid range if you go any lower engagement with stock cat. Get a test pipe or HFC and a proper e-tune/dyno tune and you will be even happier. If you click on the calibration button at the top of the screen it will show you all the settings of each pre-loaded tune. "Tuned" also sets the rev limiter to 8500 just so you are aware.

 

i used toda tuned, its a beast

 

i have an Ap2 but the motor is F20c Drive by Wire and iam using the Flashpro 2006 + International.
iam not happy with the stock calibration which is the only calibration set for the EURo spec.
my ? is, can i can copy the mugen calibration (fuel maps, and ignition maps and Vtec setting) of the US version and upload it?

anybody tried it?
