Flashpro noob
What's up S2ki -
So i'm about to purchase a Hondata Flashpro for my MY06 but before purchasing I downloaded the software to see what it looks like. I've never tuned a car before, so can anybody help me on how to use this? i'm assuming you do some sorta baseline and kinda tune it after that. I don't want to adjust anything that might blow up the engine. i'm the type that learns by doing the "trial and error click" way, but I dont think that's very smart with somethign as powerful as this. thanks for the help in advance!

Indeed flashpro is a powerful tool and should be used by someone who knows what they are doing until you learn the ropes. E-tuning can be done via email and is a very cost effective way to tune the car. Basically, you send the tuner a datalog via email, he adjusts the calibration, sends it back to you, and you reflash the ECU. Then it repeats again.
I would recommend you NOT do the trial and error method, especially on something like this. The risks are just too high. Until you learn how to use it PROPERLY, give it to someone who is experienced to tune the car. Good luck!
yeah one of the reasons i am going to purchase is because I wanted to try it out on each car (my 09 si sedan as well). Do you have any recommendations or contacts for any well known e-tuners out there?
Well, Jeff Evans of Evans Tuning does e-tuning and he is one of the best. When I had the Si, if you know from 8th civic, VitViper did my e-tune. I think their company is called E-Tunez. He was really good too. I would highly recommend either of those guys. Tell them you want this to be a learning process too. They'll probably explain how to do things and what the end results are.
