Flashpro Toda Tune vs Stock tune question

I have had flashpro for a few months now and on my s2k it feels like both the toda and the stock tuned base map calibrations feel a bit muted when it comes to throttle response, especially for downshifts. When i switch my tune back to stock equivalent rev matching is much easier, it almost feels like i have a lighter flywheel in the stock tune compared to the tuned base maps. I was just checking to see if anyone had a similar experience and why that is? I know i should have my car tuned and i plan on getting an e-tune to gain some extra power and hopefully eliminate this problem, but i was just looking for some opinions on this.
Thanks!
Thanks!
back from the dead...
any updates on this? i notice the same issue... blipping throttle is unpredictably laggy.
I'm sure a tune would solve the issue, but my friend also said that my cold air intake might also be affecting it.

eh stock header flows pretty well. The toda tune with the lowered vtec really only gives you power if you have a test pipe from what Ive read on these boards, if your still running a cat and the tune with a lowered vtec, thats probably the issue
the toda tune was developed on a car with invidia N1 duals, cai, toda header and tp. depending on your mods the toda's 4100 vtec maybe too low. u can either raise vtec (~4800) or increase the pressure to make vtec only ingage down low at WOT. with any of these tunes u need to street tune the a/f and clean them up.
if you want better throttle response - u need to tweak the throttle plate table - take it easy on the first couple of columns or she gets jerky. otherwise u can crank it up and improve the throttle response to you preference.
here's my table and she rocks

i probably should've mentioned my mods...
i have Fujita cold air, PLM header, testpipe, & HKS Hi-power single.
Personally, I think it's actually running lean and it's definitely quicker. I guess I'll have to clean up the throttle plate table like silverbullet said.

Do you have a wideband? I would recommend it to anyone whose looking to make power on a car, even if its just an N/A set up. Knowing your AFRs at all times really helps figure out whats going on when your having issues, especially when your tuning

I got an e-tune from ETunez, and it was a big improvement in driveability. My tuner recommended I get a wideband, so I did. He cleaned up the tune using the wideband, and it made 10+ more hp. That comparison was done on the same dyno, buy the same operator. So, while there are always variables.....it's still easy to see that the wideband was worth it.
My tuner also modded my throttle table, but it's a bit lurchy at slow speed on/off throttle. I may have to take the one in this thread and compare and or try it. See if that makes any difference.
