Haltech?
Im looking to go turbo in the near future and am looking at my options.
I searched but couldnt find much on Haltech. I see there are people running it but no reviews. Ive heard great things about it from non s2000 owners but what makes it better than the Emanage? Ive heard piggybacks arent very sufficient when you want to go boost is the Haltech any different?
So far I have eliminated:
AEM EMS due to state regulations
E-manage- due to no tuners in my area being comfortable with this setup and seeing so many reviews saying that a standalone is much better than this and most eventually upgrade
Kpro- seems like my best option right now
Any links or info would be greatly appreciated

I'm not very familiar with Haltech, but I think it's a company, and NOT a product. If you have a question about a particular Haltech product, maybe you shoud be more specific. I think there is another thread about a new OBDII product from Haltech that utilizes the OEM ECU (maybe similar to KPro), but I'm not certain. I think it is sold by Evan's Tuning.
I see you have a 2003. Haltech is coming out with a new unit in 2011 (january, february, exact date could differ) that is OBDII compliant and offers better features for non DBW. I would wait till then and make a decision. That's what I'm doing.

There is a "Pro" version coming out, but its like any other standalone on the market its not OBD-II compliant.

Kpro is not a standalone, its based around a OEM honda ecu. Same end result though.

Please explain your logic here. I believe every OEM ECU is as much of a standalone as an ECU can be. They just aren't all tunable. The KPro is tunable. It seems to me that that ECU's are either standalones or piggy-backs.
