Hello, i recently acquired a 2000 supercharged ap1 with a haltech platinum pro. Ive been having what seems like a common issue with the haltech at about 7000 the car will backfire and then continue climbing. I read that updating the firmware could fix it. So my question is, if i save the tune i have, update the firmware, can i load the tune back onto it? Or do i need to have it retuned.
Sorry if this is a beginner question, just wanted to make sure before i upgrade the firmware.

 

I would consult your local Haltech tuner, or Haltech themselves to confirm which route to go with.

 

Just for future reference, called haltech and spoke with someone there, installing new firmware doesn't require any additional tuning.
