@Mocky - Honestly, if you care about performance, then you really need a FlashPro. Not only would the FlashPro allow you to disable the CEL, but it would allow you to capitalize on some big midrange gains from NOT having the OEM cat. You can get big gains from an HFC, test pipe, or one of my mid-pipes, with my mid-pipe providing the biggest gains (despite having an HFC).

Regarding your question about pipe diameters, you really don't want to have a larger diameter test pipe or HFC than the diameter of your exhaust or header. I believe the Mugen exhaust is 60 mm, right? IF so, then you should have a 60mm HFC or test pipe.

Thanks for all the insight... This is great information..

Does hondata turn individual error codes off (like the 02 sensor one when you are running a TP/HFC) or does it turn the check enginge light all together?

I do have Hondata Flashpro btw. It's currently sitting in my living room. I haven't had a chance to plug it into my car yet.

Hey Mocky,

You can disable the secondary o2 sensor all together with flashpro. This way, you'll never get a CEL, even if your o2 sensor is dangling around. You cannot disable the check engine light all together though. The rest of the oem obdII diagnostics system will remain in tact.
