Default Hondata Flashpro Question

Before you advise me to search the archives I'd like to make it known that I tried to find the answer to my question and couldn't. Anyway, my question is in regards to the ease of use of the Hondata Flashpro for someone who has never attempted tuning/has essentially no knowledge of how to tune. I have read plenty of reviews that commend the Flashpro for being an awesome upgrade to any NA S2k, which is why I am so interested in getting one. On the flip side I am not looking to risk damaging my car in anyway, and the only mod I have at the moment is a Q300 cat back. Not sure if this makes a difference, but I thought I'd mention that. So just to sum it up, should a tuning noob get a Flashpro for his S2K? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

tuning noob should get it and take to a professional tuner .the flash pro has a few maps already on it that you could load and it does wake up the factory s2 abit... but beyond that if you dont know what you are doing let a real tuner doit save money from having to put a new engine in the car when you blow it up lol.

Do you plan on tuning yourself or are you going to hire a dyno tuner? If you're going to pay someone then it doesn't matter if you are noob.

You can destroy your motor by making certain adjustments.
As far as ease of use it's super easy, as far as knowing what to do it's super hard unless you take the time and learn (not by trial and error) but instead by knowing exactly what's needed.

- Anyway, my question is in regards to the ease of use of the Hondata Flashpro for someone who has never attempted tuning/has essentially no knowledge of how to tune. it's easy for me. for you it depends on your level of interest. if your interest in the subject is high enough you can study and learn to program the flashpro easy enough. you can start by reading/watching the hondata youtube vids and help documenation. you can download the actual software for free and read all about it before you purchase the product.

- So just to sum it up, should a tuning noob get a Flashpro for his S2K? yes - just make sure you understand what u are doing before making any changes....

PS - u can blow the motor by simply driving the car incorrectly....

yea, his profile says he drives a 2001 S2000 in which he'd need a Kpro or other 00-05 EMS.
