How does knock control work?

Finally, allow the factory knock sensor to do its job by not giving it additional noise to worry about. Typically culprits are exhaust headers hitting something, worn engine mounts, noisy superchagers - all these can give 'false knock', which both decreases engine performance and masks real knock.

just got Euro Flashpro and collected my first logs:
- knock Level is between 25%-80%
- knock retard is between 0%-10%
- knock count is constant 100 and doesn;t change even after ignition off - why is that?

regarding that constant 100 knock number - after i uploaded "stock equivalent Euro 2006+" tune to the car's ECU the knock readings started to work OK.
i actually saw quite a lot of knok counts - around 150 after 40 minutes of driving
most of them on cylinder 2.
the car is stock except AEM v2 intake.
is this normal?
