Cool, jap parts are normally cheaper in the states. Good thing with the VW stuff is its the same for audi and seat so you have a huge choice but still the same part numbers. Wiring should be done next week so looking forward to driving it. One thing I have noticed is the VW pedal has more travel/range than the Honda cable throttle, hopefully that will mean finer adjustment via the pedal.

what car did the throttle body and pedal come out of? I'm curious to see what those parts cost here.

Throttle body is out of the first gen golf R32 3.2v6 and the pedal is out of a standard v6 but I have been told that any petrol golf of the same era will be ok but not diesel as the tps on the pedal won't work a throttle body.

Japanese are a pain for keeping product info a secret, Germans are normally easy to get part info for. I have 5 Mazak laser and 5 Mazak machine tools and they are the same it's a pain to get part information or they get parts made just for them, so you can't buy stuff off the shelf but have to get stuff from them if they want you to have it.

I have found the reason for the ever increasing idle.

The IACV was falling apart. Top screw has gone missing and the bottom one was coming undone.
