Injectors delay !
so I've been reading about tuning for while and trying to learn some stuff.
i came to a video with a supra on a dyno and the guy tuned it said that he "left the injectors ON for one sec between gear changes" to improve throttle response
here is the video if you guys wanna take a look !

does this really improve throttle response ??
i see a lot of flame coming out of the back, probably due to unburned fuel, isn't that dangerous or bad for the exhaust or engine ?
any ideas and what do you guys think ?

This probably will get more answers in the tuning forum. I can move it if the OP wants.
As long as you don't have a cat, I don't think it would be an issue for the exhaust. The extra fuel would probably cool the combustion chamber and intake charge.
Formula 1 does something similar except they do it off throttle no matter if the gear change or not. They add fuel without a spark on the non-power stroke.
