Issues with start up...using haltech 1000
Hello s2ki I need some advice, here's the breakdown: I have an 05 ap2, with I/H/E and tuned with Haltech 1000 by jeff evans.
Recently in the past week or two I've noticed some problems with starting g up the motor. From what I observed it seems like there is crank, but it hesitates to turn over, to the point where I have to depress the gas pedal a couple of times to have it start up.
My first thought is my battery(mini odyssey) might be causin this. Although the battery isn't even a year old but given it's small size is it possible it's not giving enough crank to the motor and that's why it's hesitating? Just seems a bit unlikely since every third time or so she starts up pretty strong.
Or is I possible that due to it getting warmer the Haltech unit is havin issues starting up?
Or is this something else completely?
Any advice would be great, I don't want this to turn into a bigger problem if I ignore it. I did hear some rattling noise after last start up but that could just be now I'm looking for something to go wrong...

i'm having the same problem with my haltech ecu. i made a thread about it on the haltech forums. i've tried messing with the prime pulse time table and it helps but it's not perfect. i think i got it about as good as it's going to get. i don't have to step on the gas to get it to turn on but it takes about 4 cranks before it fires up.
the rattling noise may be the alternator.

There were no real issues with the unit, if you're having the same issue I'll tell you what happened to me, my power terminal on the battery was loose and the battery was sitting week or two at a time with out a trickle charger(miniodysey batt). Once I fixed those two things I've never had issues with start up, since then I've ran kpro, then went back to stock and now just got another PS1000. I would never decieve anyone by selling them something that does not work and say it does. Pm me if you're having issues and I'll try to help you figure it out.
