Hey guys

I plan on BOOSTING a 07 S2K, and I want to be able to pass emissions where I live in MA. So I want to run Kpro for the ability to do that.

So I was on the Hondata site to read up exactly what would be needed to swap over to run kpro on a 07 s2000. Now they gave a list of all the things needed to swap over for it to work and stuff, but at the bottom of the page I saw this



Now you can see it saying 2006-2007 s2000: RSX ECU is not compatible with the 06-07 drive by wire so you can't use kpro. Sorry

So I may be confused because at the top of the site is says what's needed to swap on a 06-07 to run the kpro. But down at the bottom of the page it says that.

Can someone chime in for me. If you swap every thing Hondata says to swap over on their page will the kpro work on a 06+ s2000

I'd say that is a fairly clear statement that it won't work. This may be a stupid question, but why wouldn't you just use Flashpro?

 

Well I plan on boosting the car and want to be able to pass emissions still. And I don't want to run aem and go
Thru the hassle.

So my option was to run kpro. To have the ability to pass emissions sill.

 

I fixed my openening state to clarify what in looking for. Sorry for any misunderstanding.

 

Luckily for you, 06+ can use Flashpro to accomplish everything you want. It's cheaper and easier to use by simply reflashing the ECU through the ODBII port.

I just wanted to clarify. I'm used to owning EVO's and STI's where all I would need is the tactrix cable and the open source program. So having to swap to a separate style ecu is new to me. I just wanted to clarify things

NOt swapping ECU just reflash you existing ECU with FlashPro. Catchy name uh, flash with flash pro. If you asked in 4 threads starting in 2011 you are a dick and I am wasting my time helping dicks. If not I hope this clears things up for you.
