I have a question regarding flashpro.

I’m from california so i need to get the car smogged every 2 years. Say i get a protune from a tuner and that’s the current flash on the car. When i flash the ecu back to the stock map(to get smog performed), will the protune map still be saved somewhere and i would be able to flash back to the protune map after i get the smog done? It would suck if i had to get it protuned and pay out of pocket each time i had to smog the car.

No reason or benefit I can see for a FlashPro tune I can see unless you drop VTEC. 3600rpm VTEC will provide significant power in the mid range but requires a high flow cat (or cat delete) so there's more work than just a re-flash every two years.

Assuming you buy the FlashPro you can re-flash anytime you want. The original tune is saved (somewhere) within the unit. Car will need some driving to get the readiness codes reset.

Car Analogy

Think about how e tunes work. Someone, probably far away, sends you some test maps that you load, then enable logging and drive the car around replicating what tuner asked you to do. Basically you're replicating what might happen on a dyno, and logging everything.

You send the logs to tuner, then he adjusts the tune and sends you more test maps. The process repeats a couple times.

Finally tuner sends you the final map. Its a file. You load it, you're happy.

Don't lose the file, and you can remap anytime you want.

Yes, with flashpro your can flash back and forth between stock & "tuned" maps as many times as you want, for $0. The ECU map files are saved and managed on your computer, with the flashpro device only acting as a temporary bridge between your computer & ECU.

I'm also in CA, and go through this ritual every 2 years. You might want to read up on the OBD2 readiness codes, as it will save you from wasted trips to the smog shop. Even if your car is tuned, if you can trigger all the readiness codes as OK your car will pass smog (unless you fail the visual inspection of course).
