Default Questions on an AEM 1052 non UEGO

Getting ready to buy one from another member. What are the issues with this box? If it doesn't have UEGO control then how does it monitor AFR's for the tune? Also whats the deal with the Coolant fix and are there any other issues?

It doesn't. The only thing you can do with that box is get it dyno tuned and run a totally seperate wideband o2 sensor with it's own program to monitor af ratios. I'd get the new series 2 after saving a couple of extra hundred bucks if possible

I will have to respectfully disagree with Elitetuning.

This EMS CAN monitor A/F ratios. It can monitor two actually. What it can't do is control them. What you need is ANY wideband sensor and controller and then wire it's output into the EMS. I have the 1052 and AEM's external wideband controller. Some like the PLX. I went with the AEM controller cause it's small and ridiculously easy to wire.

I would add you may consider spending an afternoon going through ALL the AEM forums have to offer regarding the S2000 and general tuning. It'll take some time but will save you quite a few headaches.
