Default Setting base timing

I know this is a really dumb question, but I couldn't find the answer anywhere. I am tuning my car and need to set the base timing. What should it be @ 1k rpm's? Don't flame me for this question either, but I am supposed to connect the light to the #1 (Coil wire on the front cylinder)?

I can't give you the exact answer but for those who can...

At what throttle %? And low cam or high cam?

I was going to set the timing at idle first. Using aem it is under configure>ecu>set ignition. Pretty sure it is set @ 4 degrees adv. I heard most cars are set around 10. Couldn't find anything for this car. Would it be in the service manual?

Ah, I can check my flashpro on Monday... I've never touched idle settings.

the ign values for idle are closed loop I believe as the ignition timing varies to control idle.

Here are the stock equivilent maps for the F20c.
Low cam:

High cam:

I should of made them a little larger. but i think you can just make make them out.

The pictures are fine. I can read the numbers easily. I will compare your map to mine when I get off work. Are you FI or n/a? how much boost are you running? My origional question was: In the aempro there is a setting in the drop down menu to set base ignition. I was going to hook up a timing light and set it correctly, so I can get a proper tune. I appreciate you posting the maps. It is nice to be able to compare to another s2k to see if I am tuning too agressive, or if I have room to improve. And my o2 sensor is probably toast right now so I will have to wait a couple days for a new one .

Ah ok..im FI (supercharged 11psi), that map i pictured above is for a bog standard NA s2000. my ignition timing goes down to 21 degree's of advance at about 9000rpm. so about 5-6 degree's more retard than NA.
