Yea, those with the memory/circuit board update. Mine for example cannot. Even then, its limited to I believe 50 frames a sec.

I found a post that made reference to the sample rate you get with the laptop being limited to the amount of live data you're displaying. When I get a chance I will datalog a pull without nothing but the sensors tab open to see if the framerate goes up.
Datalog with no windows open. Any info you have up on the screen will slow down the laptop. Also disable your wireless or anything else that might be taking cpu time in the background. USB is a heavily cpu dependent protocol.

I uploaded a new version of the Soft Dyno today. I went back to the drawing board on the smoothing logic, and made it MUCH better.

There are now 3 spinners. One spinner is for smoothing factor, which changes the number of datalog records that will be averaged together for a smoother line. A new spinner is to change the RPM width for each sample. I was calculating a torque value at every 100 RPMs, but I found that making this larger helps smooth the graph a LOT. Another new spinner is to change the RPM offset for the starting RPM. This just sort of moves the graph, and can help identify better peaks and valleys.

The big test was to use the new algorithm on Spectacle's datalog. It's now MUCH, MUCH better. Unfortunately, I'll have to post a picture of it tomorrow...

gernby I can't see the pic from your last post. Is that the graph? What does the eDyno say I made now? I have the real dyno sheet, anxious to compare it

The image I posted was just an updated image of the torque graph in the 1st post, showing the improvement in the smoothing logic.

Here is a screen shot of your KPro log compared to 2 of my FlashPro logs. Unfortunately, there is no way for me to determine how much power you were making, since this log was of a 4th gear pull on a conventional dyno. The only way I could estimate your torque would be if you did a 3rd gear pull on a flat road. The only thing this graph is good for is possibly the shape of your torque curve. How does it compare to your dyno plot?

Gernby, I deleted my post as I didn't feel like starting an argument in here. I see Mucter already addressed everything you listed as a "con". In fact, none of those cons have existed in the software for months on end. The video tutorials are simple introductions for people interested in the software and not an inclusive demonstration of everything it does.

Do you have any updated videos? I'd like to check it out, but not bad enough to buy a subscription.
