Default Are tunes locked?

I was thinking. And on ft86 ecutek lock the tunes.

Do S2000 tuners lock tunes, like with kpro or flashpro?

they can if they want too

ask your tuner if they do, tell them not to. if they won't go somewhere else if it matters to you.

It's not a choice, Flashpro is locked to a VIN. They aren't stupid and won't let you use single unit on multiple vehicles. Some dealers will sell a "license" but it's almost the same cost, might as well buy the physical device.

Now if you are talking about the actual tune map, then yes, your tuner should provide that. If they won't then I would find another tuner.

As far as I'm aware, tuners lock tunes on the ft86 forums. Thanks, guys.

Been kind of planning out what I would want to do to an S.

It's against Hondata's dealer agreement to lock FlashPro & KPro maps without providing you the tune file and/or without our sole written permission. It's right there in the dealer agreement. Look it up.

Besides, any tooner locking his files probably has good reason to hide the cal (and not any good reasons). Fuel & timing isn't a big secret, but maps that are put together with zero thought definitely are.

Ecutek is locked because it is a rip off. You pay for a dongle but "need" a dealer to modify anything yourself unless you buy the dealer licence.

LOL, user DaGou would be interested to learn this... His tune was locked by InlinePro and now they "can't find" his tune file.
