It is cheaper than renting a dyno and you can use it any time .

I use the soft dyno grenby made to compair tuning changes it works good enough for me
Just make sure you do consistant pulls starting at the same point and with the same IAT back to back

dyno lets you squeeze the max out of your car at any point in your curve while this is by no means bad it is not desireable by any means. There are way too many factors that can change the "run" results and is really no benefit for tuning, though you do see improvement somewhat...

As long as you minimize variables(IAT, road surface ect) and have traction, it'll work fine.

I wonder if you can save and overlay plots with this.

Save the money you need to and do it right - get a reputable tuner and get on a dyno

yes you are right , but what if I want to become a tuner (for tuning my own cars) . don't you think renting dyno is expensive for a start since I'm slow ? . eventually I will tune on a dyno .

how much renting a dyno costs in your area ? .
