Default Tuning value questions

So my flashpro will be arriving today and I'm very excited. I'm having my roommate roadtune it who I 110% fully trust to do a great job. However, I was looking for a bit of help, or really to help him. Being my roommate, I would like to make this as smooth as possibly for him. My question is if I could get any friendly advice for optimal ranges. I'm not looking for anything specific as I realize every car, and every mod is slightly different, as well as temp/elevation etc, but just a solid starting point to smoothen the process. We will be tuning for 10-25% (cruise), 50%, and WOT.

For what it's worth, its a MY06 and I will be tuning with a K&N FiPK, and Asura 3" exhaust, my HFC will be here next week and of course we will adjust for that at a later time. Also I'm setting on lowering vtec engagement to 5400 for now, and wondering if allowing the f22c to rev upto 9K is 100% safe on the block (of course considering it is tuned correctly).

I really appreciate any help that's tossed my way, if it's at all possible.

At 8200 the piston speeds are the same as an ap1 at 9k. I am leaving mine.

Start with the S2000-US-2-Tuned calibration. With your mods, you'll really just need to adjust fuel for WOT (columns 8-10). You will probably be better off sticking with the 5600 RPM VTEC engagement that is in that calibration unless you get a header, and plan to spend some time learning about ignition timing.

I thought pistons speeds were similar at 85-8600 rpm Honda left more room on the AP2 with the 8200rpm fuel cut.

Thank gernby! I'll go ahead and start looking at that, I'm going to be taking as many notes as possible when my roommate is working on everything. Now he just needs to get back from Washington

Appreciate the help guys. So would changing rev limiter to 8.5 cause any issues? Would like to sap out every drop I can

I would have to do the math.

Edit:
Math done, the same rpm would be 8335rpm for it to be the same piston speed as an ap1.

Also from what I remember the valve springs are a bit softer on the ap2 so the chance of valve float would be increased.

I believe the AP1 and AP2 both have conservative rev limits from the factory, but I think the AP2 was more conservative than the AP1. When Hondata says that the F22C can safely run 8500 RPMs, I believe them.
