So it's getting close and closer to tune day, and after doing some research I was thinking about running this scheme after doing some research, and was just curious about your thoughts gernsby.

10% throttle (cruise) somewhere around 16-17.5

25-50% throttle around 14.5-15

75% throttle around 13.5-14

WOT around 12-12.5

and of course adjusting properly for knock

Your AFR targets can't really be based on throttle position, since at low RPMs, there really isn't a difference between 20% and 100% throttle. It really needs to be based on MAP.

My goal has been to keep it at 14.7 with as little closed loop fuel trims as possible at part throttle, and about 13:1 above column 8. If you're really picky, I guess you could come up with some AFR targets for intermediate loads, but I didn't really see the value in it.

I would guess that if you are "cruising" at any speed below 100 MPH, then it's going to be in closed loop at 14.7:1.

whiteflash, why are you interested in targets above 14.7:1?

i know a few people in the supra community that have their A/F on long trip set above 14.7 for MPG saving. Seeing when you are on the freeway, the load is very minor. Me personally wouldn't want to do it cause if for some reason the a/f goes up too high or its hot outside, it can do some damage.

a a/f gauge would be a good tool to see when driving just in case.
