The megatune guys have put together a nice intro to tuning to help new users. I think most of the principles explained can be used with any system.

This a very good article for beginers. The one thing I found missing was that a change in fuel at one rpm can effect the a/f at a higher rpm.

What do you mean? I haven't noticed any issues with fuel changes at 1 RPM impacting other RPMs unless it's due to interpolation between 2 indexes, or just the delay in the O2 sensor.
