Default VTEC in a Delorean

Found a Delorean up the road from me thats beat. Toying with the idea of swapping a VTEC into it from an S2000 along with the gauge cluster. Someone give me a run down of what the s2000 engine would need electronically to meake this painless. Getting the motor to fit is the easy part so Im not concerned with that. Been a while since Ive worked on a Honda.

2700 lbs, they left the factory with a v6 putting out 130hp. So anything is an improvement.

You are going to have to look at the wiring diagrams closely.

Using the F20C engine loom you are going to need the key reader from the lock barrel and make up a loom to interface back into the car. This loom needs the key reader, a relay for the O2 sensor and main PCM ( EFI stuff) relay and o2 sensor wiring. The dash needs the wiring plugs from the F20C and connection back into your interface loom.

I've done this many times on kit cars we use the F20C in. I would query running the F20C dash. For the size of the thing it really only provides tacho/speedo/water temp and a few warning lights. Can you upgrade the cars tacho for the higher RPM and leave the rest as is?

Also consider if a later model V6 vtec could be more fitting with the cars original engine powerplant.

Just make sure to leave enough room for the flux capacitor.

I don't want a v6 for packaging purposes, plus I need to use a transaxle since the delorean is a mid engine car. I don't believe anyone makes an adapter for the odyssey engine to a Porsche trans. The F20 should be perfect for my conversion and the cluster would blend into the scifi look of the car.

Audi V8 attached to an Audi front wheel drive transaxle (put into the rear of the car of course).

Put a LSx in it. I believe there are more write ups about that happening.
