What functions of the stock ECU are lost when going to EMS

Default What functions of the stock ECU are lost when going to EMS

Hey everyone, I started this thread to provide information to members and guest. This is not a which is better thread, or which is worst thread. This thread is to i.d. what functions in the stock ECU that could be lost when uprgrading to EMS(AEM*V1/V2*,Hondata*FlashPro/KPro*,Haltech or others). If information is untrue, please correct with facts Thanks guys and gals

AEM V1:
From what I understand,it will not tune it'self,ODBII Output,Dash Gauge (Water Temp) does not function,No Standard DTC to light the CEL indicator,No Immobilizer Security,Emissions Stuff (EVAP), Loss of cruise control functions

Haltech:No immobilizer, no OBDII

flash pro works with emission. keeps Immobilizer

Flash pro and kpro should be off the list coz they function just like oem ecu.

I think Haltech does too, I will gather more info on it in case I need supported info thanks for your input guys!

haltech will not retain the immobilizer or obd II. it will support some cel's though. with aem you lose the immobilizer, obd II and cruise control if i recall correctly. haltech lets you keep cruise control.
