I wouldn't want to run stock timing unless I knew how much the knock maps backed it off. That being said. The stock numbers inside the ecu would be a bad starting point. You are better off logging via odb and using those numbers as a base.

stock timing for ap2 at WOT

3-5.5k: 29-28 degrees

8.5k+: 28-27 degrees

so, 4-9k at WOT the timing will be advanced as much as 29 (in the lower rpm range) and will drop to 27 degrees in the higher rpm range -

note this only applies to WOT conditions...

Timing for the AP1 is probably not as agressive as it is for the AP2.

Here is the stock timing curve for a totally stock '06 (blue) compared to a nearly stock '08 (red). The lines at the bottom represent knock retard. I don't know why the '06 had so much more knock retard. Note that these datalogs were done when barometric pressure was between 950-1000 mBar. At higher altitudes, timing would be more advanced.

WoW 27 degrees... I wasnt crazy then on my last baseline to see 27-29 degrees. Explains the mild knock I was getting, way too damn high underboost right?

I use the scanguageII...it doesn't really "log" it necessarily, but you can monitor pretty much every parameter your stock ecu puts out. Then, what I do is, drive around with rpm, load, tps, and ign timing on the screen and then record it with my phone. Then I go back and play/pause the video and copy the values into AEM appropriately. That's how I made my basemap for my prelude. Runs great. I realize this is an s2k forum with the F20/22, but the H22 has similar ignition values. Here is what my stock map looks like:

this is with base timing set to 16*
