Probably because it doesn't slip and can make you look like a noob at any given time at any given stoplight. I have the same one. The good news is, my wife won't even attempt to take the convertible anymore!! It does hold very well once moving though.

Get a PFAB ELT Mani, either their regular or the divided like Joey and I have. Awesome stuff.

the comp stage 4 holds amazing, but driving on it sucks!!! i agree at every stoplight i feel like its my first time driving stick, i find myself concentrating hard on releasing the clutch easily, but once your moving its great

I use to hate mine, Toan at ptuning adjusted it and its much better now but still a bit tricky on steep hills or at some lights. I have to pull up my e brake on some hills so I can get it going when people are on my ass. There may be better options now.

Could you elaborate how he adjusted it?

Only starting out on the clutch sucks, once your moving it's gravy.

You can slip it, IF you do it easy.

30r for your power goals, I use PFAB's top mount. Great manifold, just be warned the clearances for your downpipe/wg dump/water & oil lines are all super tight.

Patience is a must.

hey guys, i am pieceing together a turbo kit and just need some opinons on what people think and also some suggestions on good turbo manifolds for a 30 or a 35r turbo. my goal is 450whp-500whp. it is my daily driver as well. i would be fine if it made 425whp on pump and 500whp on race gas to be more on the safe side. so far i have a stage 2 puddymod built diff with ap2 lsd.

mod list at the current moment of things i will be getting soon. opinions welcome.

inline pro 3mm headgasket.
arp headstuds or oem studs creotreated.
aem ems series 2.
SPEC clutch stage 2+(430tq)
walbro 255
ID 1000cc injectors.

thats it so far. i would like to get tuning clutch and fuel stuff out of the way first. does this list seem okay so far? thanks guys.
1.) I would recommend a 3076 if you are really going to stay at those power levels

2.) DO NOT even think of having the factory head bolts treated, that is a VERY BAD idea. Changing the materials crystaline structure may lead to a more brittle fastener and you won't be happy if you find the shear point. I can tell you from experience that the factory head bolts will hold fine but the ARP are very nice convenience

3.) In my experience the Ironman and Spec clutches suck to drive around in everyday. Personally I chose an ACT PP with stock disc and was able to hold 535WHP, however if I do it again I am going to try the Centerforce which offers a nice inbetween and should not cause thrust bearing damage.

4.) As far as the kit is concerned there are only 2 ways to look at it pay now or pay later. Most of us pay later due to the large sticker price for a high/higher horse power car. For a base kit the Inline Pro street kit is easy to install and works great not to mention very reliable. The PFab is another option but you have to make the decision if you want to go top mount and deal with the issues that accompany them. Other than that Ultimate racing has an okay kit but the price new is a bit steep.

Since I highly doubt that you will stick with your current mild goals you may want to save up for something with more head room. For a top mount the Peakboost and PFab ELT seems to be the best choices. A sidewinder will be easier to work with and have a greater potential the IP Sidewinder works great but I would suggest not getting the big intercooler. Mase's kit is a great it won't make the power of the IP Sidewinder but it requires less permanent modifications. There used to be a company by the name of LoveFab that made a very nice sidewinder but they are not in production anymore. The last one I know of is AFI which probably has the highest HP potential but you pay for than in serviceability, it is a real PIA to work on. Finally there is bottom mounts Fullrace and Ptunning both offer a bottom mount ELT that make great power. Personally if you can get the cash together I would get in on the Ptunning deal and give that a try. They seem to have a very good kit at a great introductory price.

Good Luck

CFT has some nice kits although you don't hear too much about them.
