Default 06+ DBW Greddy Kit Problems...Input Please!

06 Greddy Kit Turbo that was installed a week ago. It dyno at 322 and 225 ft lb of torque. The first day it was fine and was pulling however its been hit and miss on how the power comes on. Example, punching it in 3rd gear at 4500, once it hit around 6k it fall on it faces. Power just drops off a lot!! 1st and 2nd gear are fine. what do you guys think may be the issue?

1. I am thinking it might be MAP sensor as its spiking above 10 psi. Also CEL shows that map was at fault. Isn't the stock map sensor rated at 10-11 psi?

2. could it be an emanage ult setting in regard to jumper setting

3. there is a lot of turbo surge as the kit doesn't come with a bov. would the surge damage the turbo so soon. only 300 miles on it.

4. what else can it be

any suggestion or help is appreciated. thank you

The stock map sensor is rated up to 10psi if i'm not mistaken.

^^
1. get the greddy pressure sensor and convert your maps...
2. get a BOV.

You should be fine after that.

What exhaust are you running? This kit was "tuned" for an 80mm exhaust IIRC. Did you get a tune or stick w/ the locked MAP? Had a local member run a J's 60 and it would fall flat near VTEC.

Maybe your wastegate actuator locknut loosened up?

stock map sensors can only sense up to 10 psi i believe...if you spike or have above 10 psi you would probably have problems...get a hondata or omni 3 bar map sensor that is direct replacement...

the car is running a 70mm t1r em dual exhaust. The map is the one that was preloaded on the emanage i believe.

If the wastegate actuator locknut loosened up, that mean it building more boost than what it should be?

thank you all for the suggestion so far. Anymore info would be greatly appreciated.

with the stock MAP sensor, if it continue to see more than 10 psi, it will trip the ECU and throw a CEL which would cause it to run in limp mode, correct? also if the ECU see more than 10 psi then it will dump more fuel as a precautious to safegard the engine?

I know one of the issue is with the map sensor. Replacing map sensor would required obtaining a unlock map from greddy?

Do you have a boost guage? Do you know what you are acually boosting? Are you running a cat? If you read member "kix" and his install I think he addressed a few issues. IIRC most people run 8.5-9 psi of boost due to some boost creep. It's been a long time since I read about the greddy kit.

With the WG actuator my friends came loose and it was actually boosting less.

As the weather gets colder the boost will increase. You need to get the pressure sensor and maybe a retune. Your car will run differnt with the differnt temp. Cold weather is great though your car feels like a beast. Just watch out for spikes with that kit.
