Hey guys, I just got a qoute from P-Tuning, they say it takes about 5 hours to install the AEM Meth kit ($500.00), and then another $500.00 to tune it. Sounds kind of high to me, but I dont know how involved the AEM kit is to install, opinions?

 

whats their labor rate?

can't find it on their website, I guess somewhere around $100/hr. IM going to have to cancel my order if this is the case, it will be around 2k for what 30RWHP? I can justify that

 

if they do an Excellent job and have a good reputation. Do it! You get what u pay for. I used to go to cheaper shops to get work done but Now (2 years later) im having problems that Should have not been there since the cheaper people had less experience. and im paying more money for it to be fixed. Go with the better shop. If u were in so-cal i'd say go to AutoWave. There Tuner knows his shit very Very well.

Well If I knew how much RWHP it would yeild me, maybe I would do it, but if I only get 20RWHP, it isnt worth it

 

yea thats true.... i plan on getting it anyway, the meth kit. It will cool down intake tempertures and it comes with a switch that i will get to use. since i have AEM EMS i will have 2 base maps for my car...one for casual use and the on switch will be the meth. kinda like a mini shot of nos LOL but alot safer.

 

idk 1000 bux for 20hp its pretty good...considering it costs of 1000 for an exhaust that will only give us 5ish hp

nice, your already at 500RWHP so wont your change in HP be way different than mine?
